Pinoy Bloggers Outreach

How I really wish I am in Philippines right now. Not for the reason that I can fulfill the holiday spree that I'm dreaming of for this year but for this cause...
PBO - PINOY BLOGGERS OUTREACH
Photo grabbed from Mar Unplog

It all started from a simple wish of mine from this post I wrote last year All I Want For Christmas, and then a blogger friend, Mar of Unplog published his post entitled Project Piso. He expressed that he wishes to donate or use the Philippine peso coins he collected for a cause. I jokingly asked him if he could be my Santa Claus and could grant my wish. And then he humbly said "Yes"!

Cool, isn't it? So from then on, we talked about the idea and things got more serious. Thru tweets and by the collaboration of Arline of Pinkline and Arvin of Archieviner, the PBO was created and was officially launched December 15, 2012.

Since then, we would meet up online to do chat conferences via Skype, exchange emails, DMs and related stuff. 3 different timezones, 4 different types of personalities but with only 1 mission - helping those who are in need. That's our mission, that's PBO's mission.

After the launching of PBO, volunteers started to speak out one by one. Donors started voicing out their pledges and we even got sponsors, halleluia!

Yesterday, the shirts were already picked up courtesy of Bloggershirts and are ready to distribute so members slash volunteers can wear it during the main event that is scheduled on January 8, 2013 this coming Tuesday @ 2:30 - 4:30 Ph Time.

So guys be there to witness and be part of the first Pinoy Bloggers Outreach activity this year!
