Permanent Residence Visa

Today I applied for a permanent residency visa after 5 years living and working in Norway (3 years married). It was around 12:30 PM and my number 932 was called. Unfortunately the photo booth inside the police station was out of order. So yeah I needed to get out and look for one. Hassle!

I found a photo box in the mall, although it wasn't my first time to use it, I felt so stupid that still I don't know how to operate it. It took time and the first try was totally fail and it got me 370 Php like I just had thrown it into the garbage bin. I had nothing to do but tried once again and made sure I'd make a good photo for my new visa.

Finally after half an hour I got my passport photo, I went back to the police station and waited in line. Few minutes later it was my turn again this time number was 944. I submitted the papers and documents and then they checked it thoroughly. The heck, some details were missing! Ugh, stressing!

Just before their office closed, I was able to submit my application for the nth time. This time I paid 14000 Php, a little bit lower than my temporary residence visa application two years ago that costed me around 22000 Php.

A notification letter will be expected to arrive a few more days later.

I know what you're thinking. To live and stay legally in Norway is so expensive! Yeah, no doubt about it and I'm almost giving up. Duh!

I'll pray for the approval of your application kapatid :) San mo balak mag-retire?

    1. Norway's system isn't that perfect naman e, but meron din ako pagkukulang coz i should have think about the things required in advance naman. Herregud! (My God!)

Kailangan pabang imemorize yan? Syempre sa Pinas ko gusto magspend ng retirement (if buhay pa ko that time hahaha sana)

  6. naku parang naimagine ko stress mo sis. Naku ganun talaga kamahan no?
Re yung trip sis we paid over £400 for 4 days kasama na Eurostar. Short holiday lang kasi we've been there before. Pero yung area namin is near Disney which is 45mins away via train pa sa Paris mismo. Mas Ok siguro if you search there na lang para di na kayo araw-araw pang babayahe...

  9. Hi Gracie,
Sorry its been awhile I don't visit here..hehhehe and I'm back now.
You know its cheaper there compare US visa kasi una naming binayaran is $450 for 6 months, then $1000 plus for 10 years within that year you can apply for US citizenship another payment naman hay VISa nga naman.hehhehe...buti naman maka submit ka ng personal dito hindi pwede kailang e mail mo lahat ang mga documents mo.Maka receive ka lang ng notification letter for another appointment.
I know hassle talaga mag apply ng visa.I hope makuha mo agad.at maka- celebrate na tayo ng residency mo, pakain ka hah..hehhe

    1. Welcome back Mhie dear! Nakakamiss ka nga, tagal mo nawala hehe. Anyway can't wait to see your entries(posts) again at ng makablog hopping ulit ako dun sa lungga mo hehe. Ganun ime-mail nalang? Less hassle nga but I prefer naman the traditional way pumila, pumirma, interview ng konti, revise ng makailang beses (nyehehe joke) at magsubmit in the last minute, joke ulit pero iba pa din yung experience na ganito kahit sablay sakit lang talaga sa bangs este sa bulsa. pakain talaga mhie pagna-approve? ;D hugs!

    2. I agree with you dear Gracie, maganda yong traditional way kasi pag makaproblema or my error ma revise mo agad.
